Studena Dam
"Rehabilitation of Studena Dam", (FIDIC Red Book conditions of contract)
Studena Dam is located in the valley of the upper course of the Struma River, approximately 15 km from the town of Pernik. It was built between 1950 and 1953. The project works include rehabilitation of the concrete buttress wall, spillway with stilling basin, bottom outlet with stilling basin, water intake tower, pressure tunnel, penstock, valve chamber and discharge channel.
The rehabilitation was carried out under operational conditions.
