Project
Landslide

Design and implementation of construction and installation works for strengthening and enforcing a landslide in the section from km 365+783 to km 366+000 along the route of the Struma Motorway Lot 3.1

The established active landslide processes on the right excavated slope of sub-section from km 365+783 to km 366+000 alters the measures envisaged in the approved design to remove and strengthen the slope by constructing a reinforcement pile wall and a tunnel in the right lane of the motorway.

Construction of two pile walls has been executed- on the side of the excavated slope and on the side of the left traffic carriageway. A tunnel is constructed between the two pile walls, over which an embankment tightening the excavation slope is executed.

The tunnel has a total length of 250 m and is intended to protect the carriageway and highway from the activation of future geodynamic processes. Drilling and pouring reinforced concrete piles ф1500 mm, have been executed with a casing pipe, steel piles, soil nailing, anchoring, welding, protective barriers and drainage in the area of the reinforcement structure.
